Course on how to get started as a freelance translator
July 11, 2005
Corinne McKay, a French to English translator, is offering an online course on how to get started as a freelance translator (from babelport.com). She is going to cover the following topics:
- Is translation for you?
- Laying the groundwork
- Your clients and how to find them
- Developing a specialization
- Contracts, payment and terms of service
- As your business grows
I obviously can’t guarantee it’ll be a good course, but having had a look at her site, it does look like Corinne is an experienced and knowledgeable translator and I know that when I started off, this is something that would have really interested me.
