Professional English to French freelance translator since 2000

I have always had a passion for languages and writing and I became a professional English to French freelance translator in 2000 when I passed the Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation and the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting. Before that, I completed a Masters degree in English at the University of Toulouse II with a year at the University of Sussex in Brighton, where I fell under the spell of England, its inhabitants, its weather and its food (really)… and never left.

High quality service with an emphasis on excellent communication

I love my job and I’m very aware that, if I want to carry on doing something that makes me so happy, I must satisfy my clients so they keep coming back to me. That is why I strive to offer them a high-quality service with an emphasis on excellent communication.

If I’m not the right person for your project, I can help you find The One

Since 2000, I’ve worked for various clients in the following fields: subtitling, waste management, international development, public sector, environment, tourism, marketing, management, education, fitness and bodybuilding. I love tackling new subjects and being thrown at the deep end, but I will never accept work if I don’t think I can provide a first-rate translation. However, don’t fear! I belong to a wide network of translators and if I’m not the right person for your project, I can help you find The One.

I only do one thing, but I do it really really well

By the way, I only translate from English into French, not the other way round. I believe the best translations are done by native speakers and that’s why I would never attempt a translation into English. There are many excellent French to English translators out there, I can recommend colleagues if that’s what you need. I only do one thing, but I do it really really well…
